Lead Teacher -
3's Classroom

Status: Full Time Non-Exempt
Description:
The Lead Teacher
serves as
classroom leader by being responsible for the daily
management of assigned classroom.
Essential Functions:
-
Planning, supervising, and implementing
appropriate daily activities for children.
-
Developing goals and objectives for
individual children as well as the group
-
Responsible for all aspects of the
classroom and classroom duties.
-
Delegate and manage classroom
effectively.
-
Creative, resourceful, patient
-
Manage time and communication skills and
be able to think on their toes.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood
Education or related field.
-
At least 2 years of previous experience
in a group childcare setting.
-
Previous supervisory or Lead Teacher
experience will be helpful.
-
Minimum of 6 months
prior experience working with children, preferably in a
child care environment.
- Ability to work
with families and children from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work as
a team with co-workers.
- Knowledge of
applicable state and federal laws and requirements.
- Knowledge
of program rules and requirements.
- Ability to read and
follow simple instructions.
- Ability to maintain
accurate, complete, and confidential records.
- Ability to
communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to relate
well to children and adults.
- Ability to lift 20
lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability
to regularly stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch,
crawl, reach, and carry.
- Ability
to successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment
drug screen and background check required for this
position.
If
hired, must complete a physical and
TB test within 30 days of employment
to comply with licensing
requirements.
